No charge for collection orders.

Ordering Online

• We offer a personal delivery service from Monday to Friday. You can also order for collection from our bakery or cafe.

• Personal delivery to Inverness-shire & Nairnshire has an additional charge.

• Postal boxes will be available to order from the website, choose from the selection available online and it will be dispatched with Royal Mail within 5-7 days.

• Please note if royal mail have delays in their delivery service we will send out a box earlier than planned for it to arrive in time. If the delivery comes earlier then unfortunately this is out of our control and can only apologies on their behalf. 

Pre-Order

• Speciality cakes can be pre ordered but a minimum of 2 weeks must be given and you will be added into a booking diary where possible.

• A £30 non refundable deposit will be taken for any large cakes and bespoke order with the remaining balance to be paid 7 days prior to order date.

 

 

Delivery Information

• For Nairnshire/ Inverness shire deliveries please ensure that the recipient will be at the delivery address at the time of delivery, if we are unable to deliver because the recipient is not at the delivery address a re-delivery fee may be charged.

• For postal deliveries, we use Royal Mail and all items are tracked, we can not be held responsible for failure to collect an undelivered package from Royal Mail.

• We cannot be held responsible for any damages once the cakes have been delivered.

• We will not be able to let you know when the delivery has been made, however we will contact you if there are any problems with delivery.

Changes and Cancellations

• Changes to orders must be requested by email to makesbymegs@gmail.com. We cannot make any product changes within two days of your order.

• Cancellations can only be accepted within 4 hours of ordering.

• Cancellations on Celebration cakes must be within 72 hours of collection date, deposit is non refundable. Any cancelations after this point will be charged at full price.

• In the very unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil an order, we retain the right to refund or change orders if required.

Returns and Refunds

• If upon collection or delivery of the product(s) you find that they are not those ordered by you, or the order is incomplete please notify us immediately by email on makesbymegs@gmail.com.

• If a product is not as on the Order Confirmation we will credit or refund your purchase. In the case of damaged goods you must retain the damaged products and all packaging for inspection by us. Subject to our report on the claimed damage we will refund the price you paid for the returned products together with the delivery charge, or at our option we will provide you with a credit for further products. We will have no liability to you for any indirect loss.

• We will only make a refund to the original credit card or debit card account used by you to make the online purchase. Ownership of the goods will immediately revert to us if we refund any such payment to you.

• We cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product ordered and we cannot accept the return of any product because it does not match the colour you were expecting from viewing your screen display. Additionally, ‘props’ used in our photography are not included in the purchase of any of our baked goods.

Dietary Information

• All of our cupcakes are vegetarian. We handle nuts in our kitchen and therefore cannot guarantee that there are no traces of nuts in all of our products. Please call us to check if you are unsure about any other ingredients in the case of any allergies.

• All our drip cakes contain nuts, so please make us aware of any allergies when ordering.

• We offer a “Gluten Friendly” range of bakes and treats, please be aware these are made in the same premises as products that contain gluten, so we cannot guarantee they will not come in contact.

• All and any allergies must be discussed upon ordering and we can decide if we are able to accommodate this for you.

Storage

• Cupcakes should be stored in their original box in a cool place and are best eaten within 24 hours of purchase. 

• Layer cakes should be store in their original box in a Refrigerator.  Layer cakes should be removed from the fridge 1 hours before eating for best flavour and texture.

• Postal orders containing traybakes, we recommend placing in the fridge upon arrival for best results and taste of your treats.
